I do know that gmail has the video capabilities also. .....my library coordinator uses it all the time.

Tips for using Skype in classroom-- YOU are responsible for misuse, school network is configured, use separate accounts for home & school, set privacy settings correctly (date on website-Feb, 2006) I guess the same Tips are the same.
I liked your ideas for using Skype. I know one librarian who Skyped (sp!) with an author last year and it went very well. Lots of technology to get use to but the payoff with the kiddos seemed great! I was unable to view your Animoto book trailer. Did you remove it due to the misspelled word? I will check back. Keep up the good work.
